Infrared picture of a bike path near my home. ISO 400 f/9.0, 4 second exposure. I wanted something long enough to show the wind without it being too blurry, took a couple shots of guesswork to get it right. You need a long exposure to work with infrared anyway, so if you want to try this make sure you have a sturdy tripod!
Maybe those professional-level tripods are worth it, but I think mine was less than 40 bucks and it does the trick. That said, if I was using it a lot, I’d get a nice carbon fiber one. To me, it has to be something I can carry around with me.
